It’s been a rollercoaster offseason for the Sixers but the chaos has come to an abrupt end. The James Harden saga has reached its finish, with the team trading Harden to the Clippers on Tuesday. The team can now move on and focus on getting back to the Eastern Conference Finals, building on their fairly strong start to the Nick Nurse era.

Betting on the Sixers

There are plenty of ways to bet on the success of the Sixers in 2023-24. Joel Embiid won the 2023 MVP Award and if you fancy betting on a repeat, you can do so at most sportsbooks, with his odds sitting at about +850 as of right now.

On top of that, you can bet on who will win the 2023-24 NBA Championship along with each conference and of course individual games.

If you’re new to betting, or are about to open up your favorite app, we have a surprise for you. Sixers to win the 2023-24 NBA Championship: +1800

The Sixers entered the offseason at +1300 before the hiring of Nick Nurse. They’ve now drifted to +1800 following another wild NBA offseason that has resulted in the recent departure of James Harden.

The Denver Nuggets (+500) won the 2023 title and will be looking for repeat success next year, although it’s hard to imagine that the Boston Celtics (+390), and the Milwaukee Bucks (+400) will be far behind.

While being the 8th best team in terms of betting odds at this stage is certainly a disappointment to fans, it does not guarantee their fate. It may actually mean that there’s an opportunity for those who truly believe this team can improve, to get in at a much higher price and yield some potentially huge rewards.

The Sixers might well be a stronger team now that the James Harden saga has come to a close, and who really knows what else Mr. Morey has up his sleeve when it comes to finding a potential star to pair with Joel Embiid.

A $100 wager on the Sixers to win it all next season would net a return of $1,800 plus your wager, but the odds may not be that steep as we approach the regular season.

Let’s use the Eagles as an example. They were +4000 to win the Super Bowl following the NFL Draft in 2022. As we all know, they were only a few drives away from turning a lotto-ticket bet into a winner, and the cashout prior to the game would’ve been huge.

How about Joel Embiid? The Cameroonian was tied with Luka Doncic at +500 before the beginning of the season when it came to MVP Odds. Jokic had been the man at the top of the totem pole for most of the season prior to a late surge from Embiid that finally tilted the scales in his favor.

The good news is that you can take advantage of a sign-up offer, like the one for BetRivers below, and bag yourself a risk-free bet on the Sixers to win it all. Worst case, you lose nothing. Best case, your returns are more than double what you would’ve gotten if you’d wagered without the offer.
