Reports surfaced yesterday that Chip Kelly would be taking Quarterback Coach Ryan Day and Wide Receiver Coach Bob Bicknell with him to San Francisco…but that could be the end of what was expected to be a growing list if reports are true.

According to Howard Eskin, the Eagles have actually denied the 49ers the opportunity to interview several coaches from within the Eagles organization.

A report yesterday suggested that both Undlin and Fipp were going to be staying regardless, that only strengthens the credibility of the rumour.

A smart move by the Eagles who are facing a chaotically busy week as it is with the signing of new Head Coach Doug Pederson and the news of Jim Schwartz landing in Philadelphia to talk about the possibility of becoming their new Defensive Coordinator. The Eagles have a great coaching unit as it is, especially when it comes to special teams..so they’d be smart to retain Fipp and keep him from communicating with Kelly..who when acting under saw his unit rise among the very best in the NFL.

Eskin also went on to claim that the Eagles could well be pursuing Greg Lewis in regards to a Wide Receiver Coach position. Now this both confirms that Bicknell has likely left for San Francisco and also opens up the possibility of the Eagles continuing to add to their staff after we reported earlier in the week that the birds were looking to add between 3-5 new coaches.
