There were a few big names absent from practice yesterday and the list continued to grow during todays practice. Defensive-End Cedric Thornton was a non-participant according to sources after suffering what is currently an unknown injury.

Thornton did practice yesterday but found himself sidelined just a day later. One of the Eagles finest Defensive players, Thornton has only missed 2 games since 2012..and those two came earlier this season when he suffered a hand injury.

Most notably however, Walter Thurmond missed practice for the second day in a row with a persistent hamstring injury. This has been troubling the safety all season but he is yet to miss any actual game time.

If the problem continues and Thurmond does have to miss snaps or even an entire game, it could have huge consequences. The team are already without Nolan Carroll following an injury last week that saw him break his ankle and could use all the Corner/Safety help they could get against one of the toughest Offenses in the league.

Should Thurmond be unable to compete on Sunday, it’s likely that Ed Reynolds will see an increase in snaps.

On a positive note, Sam Bradford was a full participant which raises hopes of a return against the Pats on Sunday.

Josh Huff also returned to practice after missing yesterday whilst Ryan Mathews was absent yet again due to recovering from what could be a combination of a concussion and a leg injury that has bothered him throughout the season.
