As one door closes another one opens..or so the saying goes. Earlier today USC announced that hey had signed a new head coach and it wasn’t Chip Kelly. Despite reports surfacing of an apparent meeting between USC Officials and Chip, the Eagles head coach was quick to shut the rumours down.

But another potential landing spot for Chip Kelly could well be in Tennessee where none other than a Mr Marcus Mariota is playing his rookie season, you might have heard of him.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport spoke to 97.5 The Fanatic and told fans “to not rule out a trade” involving the current Eagles head coach and went on to add that the deal could well involve a first round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

He isn’t the only one who seems to be looking at the possibility of a Chip trade however, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio also stated that the Titans would be a good fit for Kelly.

Of course this is all just speculation..much like we saw last week before the world went into complete meltdown. But a first round pick would surely send the Eagles into a rebuilding phase that many insist the franchise needs. The Eagles would then own two potential top 15 first round picks…it would be interesting to see if talks do progress after the season ends what Lurie would be willing to accept. If the two are growing sick of each other as many have claimed then the returns could well be something as simple as a pick…
