After yet another rollercoaster offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers, the ship appears to have finally been steadied. After 35 games, the Sixers have 23 wins and sit 3rd in the Eastern Conference.

But what does this mean for their betting odds?

76ers to win the 2023-24 NBA Championship: +1100

What a start to the year the Sixers have had. Not only did the team beat the Boston Celtics early on, but they knocked off the Minnesota Timberwolves too. Philadelphia is red-hot once again and the era of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey is off to a flying start.

The Philadelphia 76ers are playing with a rejuvenated energy. Maxey and Embiid both rank inside the top-5 when it comes to All-Star voting for their positions, the reigning MVP is back to his best, and Nick Nurse has this team playing cohesively from top-to-bottom – something Doc Rivers often struggled to do.

Sure, their playoff record is questionable at best in recent years, but Nick Nurse has a 23-19 record in the postseason and that of course includes going the distance to win the 2019 NBA Championship. Could he be the man to unlock the potential of this team?

The Denver Nuggets (+425) won the 2023 title and will be looking for repeat success next year, although it’s hard to imagine that the Boston Celtics (+330), and the Milwaukee Bucks (+450) will be far behind. The Sixers have beaten two of the three favorites already this season, and narrowly fell to the Bucks on opening night. The jump in price is huge and this could well be worth a punt.

The Sixers might well be a stronger team now that the James Harden saga has come to a close, and who really knows what else Mr. Morey has up his sleeve when it comes to finding a potential star to pair with Joel Embiid. Although, they might not actually need one at this point…

A $100 wager on the 76ers to win it all next season would net a return of $1,100 plus your wager, but the odds may not be that steep as we approach the regular season.

Let’s use the Eagles as an example. They were +4000 to win the Super Bowl following the NFL Draft in 2022. As we all know, they were only a few drives away from turning a lotto-ticket bet into a winner, and the cashout prior to the game would’ve been huge.

How about Joel Embiid? The Cameroonian was tied with Luka Doncic at +500 before the beginning of the season when it came to MVP Odds. Jokic had been the man at the top of the totem pole for most of the season prior to a late surge from Embiid that finally tilted the scales in his favor.

The good news is that you can take advantage of a sign-up offer, like the one for BetRivers below, and bag yourself a risk-free bet on the Sixers to win it all. Worst case, you lose nothing. Best case, your returns are more than double what you would’ve gotten if you’d wagered without the offer.
