According to numerous reports, the Eagles have released linebacker and defensive Mufassa DeMeco Ryans.
#Eagles release LB DeMeco Ryans.

Whilst upsetting, the move shouldn’t really come as a surprise. The 31 year old is declining and with the emergence of Jordan Hicks and company at the linebacker position..there was simply too much competition as the team move under the Defensive control of Jim Schwartz.
Ryans was set to make $4.5M in 2016. By releasing him, team saves yet another $3.5M in cap space…meaning they have close to $30m in overall cap space once the movement of the overall figure is made final.
The two time pro bowler played in 22 games for the Eagles and racked up 68 tackles for the birds.
This…this seems adequate.
Thank you for everything, DeMeco. pic.twitter.com/mOIx3EIfhn
