The 2025 NFL Draft is finally here as the Philadelphia Eagles are eager to build on their impressive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. While Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has filled several of the potential holes on Philadelphia’s roster ahead of the event, multiple questions remain unanswered as the team currently holds the final pick in the first round.
The Eagles are loaded with draft picks both in 2025 and 2026, as many expect Roseman to use the extra ammunition to maneuver up and down the draft board. Since 2020, the Eagles have made 25 trades during the NFL Draft, which averages out to five trades per year. I’d expect Roseman to continue that trend and make at least five trades during the 2025 NFL Draft.
Now it’s time to do my best impersonation of Roseman in my final 2025 Eagles mock draft! The final version of my Eagles mock draft is based on a combination of reports, trends that I’ve discovered with Philadelphia’s recent draft history and intel that I’ve gathered on my own.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 first-round pick (32) and a 2025 fifth-round pick (161)
Giants send: 2025 second-round pick (34), 2025 fourth-round pick (105) and a 2025 seventh-round pick (219)
The New York Giants are widely expected to select edge rusher Abdul Carter with the third overall pick. Yet the Giants could be looking to trade back into the first round to land their quarterback of the future. The Eagles are in prime position at the end of the first round to take advantage of a team looking to move up and this trade is awfully similar to the deal between the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers in last year’s draft.
Round 2, Pick 34: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
I’ve been high on LSU tight end Mason Taylor for months, dating back to when many considered him a third or fourth-round pick. Yet Taylor appears to be on the rise with several notable media members such as Daniel Jeremiah and Brian Baldinger praising him in recent days. While I might be sipping the Taylor tea a bit too much, he feels like a player that the Eagles would fall in love with both on and off the field, as they look for Dallas Goedert’s replacement.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 second-round pick (64) and a 2025 fourth-round pick (134)
Texans send: 2025 second-round pick (58)
After Philadelphia traded former starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans earlier in the offseason, Roseman calls up Nick Caserio once again. Ironically, the have their eyes on Gardner-Johnson’s replacement and want to jump a few teams that could be looking for a safety and secure their top target in the second round.
Round 2, Pick 58: Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State
Prior to the start of last season, Penn State safety Kevin Winston Jr. was viewed as one of the top safeties in the country and a potential first-round pick. Yet Winston suffered a partial ACL tear in September and missed the remainder of his final season at Penn State. The Eagles could view Winston similarly to how they viewed Landon Dickerson in the 2021 NFL Draft. Dickerson could have been a first-round pick if it wasn’t for a season-ending ACL tear and Winston falls in that same exact category. Winston also had a top-30 visit to Philadelphia, which was only reported just a few days before the 2025 NFL Draft.
Round 3, Pick 96: Wyatt Milum, OL, West Virginia
Speaking of Dickerson, the Eagles need to figure out who is going to be starting at right guard in 2025 and beyond. While Tyler Steen stepped in and played admirably when called upon last season, Philadelphia doesn’t seem ready to name him the starter quite yet. West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum played both right tackle and left tackle, yet many expect him to move inside to guard due to his short arms (32 1/8″). Milum has the frame, power and attitude to succeed at guard in the NFL and the Eagles hosted him on a top-30 visit as well.
Round 4, Pick 105: Elijah Roberts, IDL, SMU
While the Eagles are confident in Moro Ojomo’s ability to replace Milton Williams, Philadelphia has yet to add another interior defensive lineman to the roster this offseason. SMU defensive lineman Elijah Roberts primarily played on the edge in college, yet many expect him to move inside at the next level. Roberts checked in at 6’4″, 285 lbs. with 33 5/8″ arms and 10 1/4″ hands, which are all bigger than where Williams was ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. While Roberts is far from a finished product, his flashes of potential would be too much for the Eagles to pass up at this spot. Roberts was also one of the first reported top-30 visits for Philadelphia.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 fifth-round pick (164) and a 2026 fifth-round pick
Broncos send: 2025 fourth-round pick (122)
The Eagles are currently slated to have 11 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Roseman dips into his treasure chest of future draft capital to move up into the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Philadelphia is expected to land three compensatory picks in next year’s draft, which will allow Roseman to get creative and maneuver his way around the draft board this year.
Round 4, Pick 122: Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson
After selecting Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the 2024 NFL Draft, Philadelphia reunites him with his former running mate in Clemson linebacker Barrett Carter. Following the departure of Oren Burks in free agency and Nakobe Dean’s season-ending knee injury, the Eagles will have to make an addition at linebacker this offseason. Carter was regarded as one of the best linebackers in the nation and many have praised his personality and involvement in the community off the field as well. The 22-year-old seems like an ideal addition to Philadelphia’s evolving linebacker room.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: Dallas Goedert, TE
Jaguars send: 2025 fourth-round pick (126)
After openly shopping Dallas Goedert for several weeks, Philadelphia finally finds a home for their former starting tight end. While it would certainly be ideal for Goedert to play out his current contract with the Eagles, it simply doesn’t seem feasible. Inferior tight ends such as Evan Engram and Juwan Johnson received significant guaranteed money this offseason and Goedert likely wants a new deal. Jacksonville released Engram earlier this offseason and could be looking to bring in more of a complete tight end for Liam Coen to work with.
Round 4, Pick 126: Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas
The Eagles found Goedert’s replacement in the second round and add an explosive offensive weapon with the pick that they received from Jacksonville. Texas running back Jaydon Blue was stuck behind several talented players in college, yet he was able to maximize nearly every touch that he received. Blue showcased his explosiveness at the NFL Combine with a blazing 40-yard dash of 4.38 seconds. He would be an ideal compliment to Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley as a change of pace running back in Philadelphia’s backfield. Blue reportedly had a top-30 visit with the Eagles during the pre-draft process.
Round 5, Pick 165: Jalen Travis, OL, Iowa State
Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland has built a reputation as arguably the best position coach in the NFL. The development of Jordan Mailata is likely Stoutland’s crowning achievement and Roseman could see a bit of Mailata in Iowa State offensive lineman Jalen Travis. At 6’8″, 339 lbs. with 34 7/8″ arms and 10 1/2″ hands, Travis is an absolute mountain of a man. Travis feels like an ideal fit to be Philadelphia’s developmental offensive tackle that Stoutland gets to mold like a ball of clay. It’s also worth nothing that Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell and Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni have a close relationship. Travis reportedly had a top-30 visit with the Eagles.
P.S. – I was honestly going back and forth between Travis and Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins with this pick. Since I was struggling to make a decision, I asked my two-year-old son to pick between the two and he quickly shouted “TRAVIS!” Therefore, the success or failure of this prediction falls squarely on the shoulders of my son.
Round 5, Pick 168: Marcus Harris, CB, California
The Eagles moved on from three cornerbacks this offseason in Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers and James Bradberry. While Philadelphia signed Adoree’ Jackson to a one-year deal, Roseman will likely add competition to the cornerback room during the 2025 NFL Draft. California cornerback Marcus Harris thrived in his only season with the Golden Bears after transferring from Idaho. Harris would provide the Eagles with depth at both outside cornerback and slot cornerback. He also has plenty of experience on special teams, which would help him see the field immediately in Philadelphia.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 seventh-round pick (219) and a 2026 seventh-round pick
Bills send: 2025 sixth-round pick (177)
Philadelphia has yet to add an edge rusher in the 2025 NFL Draft and Roseman has his sights set on another player that the Eagles brought in for a top-30 visit. Roseman reaches his hand into Philadelphia’s treasure chest of future draft assets one final time to move up over 40 spots from the seventh round into the sixth round.
Round 6, Pick 177: Tyler Baron, EDGE, Miami (FL)
Following the departure of Josh Sweat in free agency and Brandon Graham’s retirement, Roseman signed two edge rushers in free agency to help patch up Philadelphia’s defensive front. While Azeez Ojulari and Josh Uche are promising players, they both signed one-year deals with the Eagles. Miami (FL) edge rusher Tyler Baron would provide Philadelphia with developmental depth on the outside with a promising skillset. After spending four seasons at Tennessee, Baron joined the Hurricanes and tied for the team lead with 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Baron reportedly had a top-30 visit with the Eagles.
