Brock Purdy | San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy Touchdown Passes | 1.5 Touchdown Passes (O -122 | U +100)
Initially, I liked this. I really liked this but let me slow down and put my oddsmakers hat on. What’s more likely – Purdy explodes for a 3-4x touchdown passing performance OR Christian McCaffery suddenly has three scores? I like the latter.
Personally, this is one I would stay away from entirely because I can talk myself into both sides of the coming – that usually means I’ll get it wrong. I’m trying to normalize staying away from fishy bets. Plus, history is on our side. Purdy’s throwing just a single touchdown per game this postseason.
PSN Pick | STAY AWAY
Will Brock Purdy throw a touchdown pass in the 4th Quarter | YES +152
Okay – I can have my cake and eat it too. Not unlike our Mahomes first-quarter passing touchdown, you’re guessing the flow of the game and I think we’ll see the 49ers trail heading into the fourth.
With that notion in mind, garbage time or not, Purdy could be fighting for his life so why not throw some cheddar on a heroic score after he’s settled into the bright lights of the biggest night in sports?
PSN Pick | YES
Brock Purdy Passing Yards | 245.5 | O/U -110
This total seems low given Purdy’s playoff average of 254.5 yards per game but then you take a look at what this Kansas City defense has done to some arguably more proflic passers.
Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen were both held under 200 yards and while Lamar Jackson threw for 272, that was more of a symptom of a ground game that was tragically omitted with six total carries from Ravens halfbacks.
Still, sticking to the narrative, I’m envisioning a 49ers squad playing from behind and that means more action for the Purdy cannon.
PSN Pick | Purdy O/245.5 passing yards
Purdy Rushing Yards | 12.5 | O/U -110
Purdy hit 48 rushing yards against Detroit, which should be acknowledged as an outlier and only the second time he’s scampered for more than 20 yards in his career.
Still, since Week 17, opposing quarterbacks are averaging 52 yards rushing per game against a Chiefs defense that’s forcing signal-callers to use their legs against extensive pressure.
I think adding this to a couple of multi-leg parlays. This feels like a low total and I don’t think we need to worry about Purdy ending the game with a couple of kneel-downs to mess this up.
PSN Pick | Purdy O/12.5 rushing yards
As promised, for those of you who had the gambling itch and attention span to make it through this article, we cannot thank you enough. Get ready because…
