It’s been a rollercoaster offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers. Sixers to win the 2023-24 NBA Championship: +1500
The Sixers entered the offseason at +1300 before the hiring of Nick Nurse. They’ve now slightly drifted to +1500 following another wild NBA offseason, meaning the Sixers own the eighth-best odds in the NBA to win it all next season. The Denver Nuggets (+475) won the 2023 title and will be looking for repeat success next year, although it’s hard to imagine that the Boston Celtics (+500), and the Milwaukee Bucks (+850) will be far behind.
While being the 8th best team in terms of betting odds at this stage is certainly a disappointment to fans, it does not guarantee their fate. It may actually mean that there’s an opportunity for those who truly believe this team can improve, to get in at a much higher price and yield some potentially huge rewards.
The Sixers have plenty of questions to answer but provided that Morey can continue to be surgical with his decisions, there’s no reason this team can’t bounce back in 2023 under Nick Nurse.
