The NBA Finals have come to a close after the Denver Nuggets made their 4-1 series win over the Miami Heat look easy. Sixers to win the 2023-24 NBA Championship: +1300
Sitting at the same +1300 as they did before the hiring of Nick Nurse, the Sixers now own the eighth-best odds in the NBA to win it all next season. The Denver Nuggets (+475) won the 2023 title and will be looking for repeat success next year, although it’s hard to imagine that the Boston Celtics (+550), and the Milwaukee Bucks (+650) being far behind.
While being the 8th best team in terms of betting odds at this stage is certainly a disappointment to fans, it does not ensure their fate, of course. It may, in fact, mean that there’s an opportunity for those who truly believe this team can improve where they need to in order to become champions at long last.
The Sixers have plenty of questions to answer but provided that Morey can continue to be surgical with his offseason moves, there’s no reason this team can’t bounce back in 2023.
