The Philadelphia Union have taken three points from their opening two games of the MLS season, with their most recent game being a surprising road defeat to Inter Miami. Unsurprisingly, however, they’re still 2nd in the odds list to win the MLS Cup this season.

Philadelphia Union to win the MLS CUP: +600

The Philadelphia Union were nothing short of dominant last year. 19 wins. 5 losses. A +46 goal difference. They broke the single-season goal record and remained undefeated at home with a 12-5-0 record. Can they continue that into 2023?

Well, they did start off with a huge win over Columbus, but the wind was arguably knocked from their sails when Inter Miami stole a victory in week 2. The Union rolled out the same starting 11 as they did in their season-opening win, which was a little surprising given their CONCACAF Champions League Fixture on Tuesday. Despite their disappointing loss, the Union are still the only other team not named LAFC to be priced under 10/1.

The Seattle Sounders have jumped from +1400 to +1000 in two weeks as one of only four teams to have won both of their opening games. A 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake followed a 4-0 blistering of Colorado. The good news for the Union is that they’re in the Western Conference.

In terms of teams in the East worth noting, New England are 2-0-0 on the season along with Inter Miami and the Union won’t lock horns with them until the end of may. Games against struggling Montreal & Chicago sides are up next, giving the boys in blue a chance to get things moving in the right direction once again.

The wildcard for the Union will be balancing CONCACAF Champions League play. The Union will be playing over 50 games this season, so finding a way to keep the squad fresh will be pivotal as they embark on an almighty task of replicating a season that shattered records across the board.

The good news is that you can take advantage of a sign-up offer, like the one for UniBet below, and bag yourself a risk-free bet on the Sixers to win it all. Worst case, you lose nothing. Best case, your returns are more than double what you would’ve gotten if you’d wagered without the offer.
