Cade Stover is a high 4-star outside linebacker from the 2019 class. He is one of the best defensive playmakers in the country and powerhouse programs are taking notice. At 6-5, 235 lbs, Stover has the football IQ of a player who has been here before. He plays for Lexington high school in Mansfield, Ohio he is the 4th rated prospect in the state of Ohio and the 43rd rated prospect in 2019 by 247. He is rated the top outside linebacker in 2019 by Scout. I recently had one on one with him about his recruiting and more.

LJ: Cade, you’re a predator. What was your best game last season?

Cade: My best game last year was the playoff game against Toledo central catholic.

LJ: What were your stats last game?

Cade: last game I had 17 tackles rushed for 104 yards. I don’t know my throwing stats. (laughs)

LJ: How was your visit to PSU at the Lasch Bash? Do you plan on visiting again?

Cade: It was awesome I love the people there. I will be there this weekend for the Penn state Michigan game.

LJ: Is Penn state a school of high interest? Do you have any top schools at this time?

Cade: Yes Penn state is up in my top three. Yes (in no order) Ohio state, Penn state, and Oklahoma

LJ: What schools are recruiting you the hardest?

Cade: Ohio state, Penn state, Florida state, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

LJ: What were your numbers last season?

Cade: last season I had 195 tackles through 12 games, 5 picks, and 14 touchdowns.

LJ: What type of defense do you like to play in? What do you like about Penn state defense that would fit your skill set?

Cade: I would like to be able to play in space, but also come off the edge and play close to the line. I like their defense because coach Brent Pry and the defensive staff let the players play to they’re strengths and they get after it.

LJ: What has the PSU staff said about your future with the Lions?

Cade: They have said a lot. I mean its LBU, (laughs); they just said I can be up there with the greatest.

LJ: What part of your game has improved the most?

Cade: My technique has improved a lot and just being smarter.

LJ: How hard is Ohio state and Wisconsin Recruited you?  What do you like about those programs? Do you plan to visit?

Cade: They are both coming very hard. I like the blue collared boys for Wisconsin and the speed Ohio state plays with. Yes I do plan to visit.

Cade: Oklahoma is having a great season have they been recruiting you?

Cade: Yes Oklahoma is high on my list.

LJ: What NFL linebacker do you think is the best?

Cade: No doubt TJ watt. (laughs)

LJ: Thanks for your time Cade.

Cade: Thank you.
