A busy period just keeps getting busier for the Philadelphia Eagles as they appear to have extended their second contract in two days..not only that but their second tight end in two days! According to a tweet by NFL Insider Adam Caplan, the birds have reached an agreement with Brent Celek.
#Eagles and TE Brent Celek agreed to a 3-year, $13m deal with $6m guaranteed, per sources.

The move is an interesting one considering that just weeks beforehand, many were speculating that the Eagles could release Celek and save a lot of money off of a decreasing amount of Salary Cap space. The deal is worth $13m and will see Celek play in Midnight Green for three more years.
Matt Lombardo of NJ.com gave an interesting perspective..
I doubt Celek sees Year 3 of this deal, but lowering his cap number and keeping a respected veteran in the fold makes this a real good move.

Since being drafted by the Eagles in 2007, the blocking Tight-End has amassed 4,713 yards and 30 touchdowns on 371 receptions.
