With Eagles fans still scratching their heads over the signing of Doug Pederson as Head Coach, news has emerged that Ron Jaworski actually influenced the Eagles’ decision to hire Doug Pederson.
Just talked to Ron Jaworski who assisted the #eagles in their head coach search. @jawsespn says they "got it right" with Doug Pederson.

Now Jaworski whilst an icon in Philadelphia is not currently hired by the organization which makes this entire thing seem a little fishy..but still, if Jaws was behind the signing and agrees the Eagles “could not have been more thorough” then maybe it’s the right call after all.
He does have a lot of experience with the Eagles and of course won an NFC Championship with them back in 1980..he knows the organization and he knows a lot of the people on the inside. Whilst he may not be involved in the day-to-day, his sincerity and willingness to help the team he loves can only point towards positive signs.
It’s too early to criticise or applaud the signing of Pederson considering he’s still with Kansas and competing in the post-season, but as we piece together the evidence as to why the birds went with Pederson, we begin to discover that perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye.
