Sunday afternoon brings another MLS Next Pro gameday to Subaru Park and Philly as Union II host Toronto FC II, looking to stretch their unbeaten streak in the league to 6 games in a row.

Ryan Richter’s side finished out a fantastic run of results during the month of June by drawing with Orlando City B on Monday night 1-1. Defender Isaiah LeFlore bagged a rare goal to cancel out an early goal that saw Orlando take the lead. The resulting extra point shootout ended up being a comfortable Union II win, 4-2, after Oliver Semmle pulled off two brilliant penalty saves to ensure Ryan Richter’s side walked away with 2 points.

Union II absolutely dominated the game on Monday, putting up 34 shots to Orlando’s 6, and it’s a disappointment they didn’t come away with the win and all 3 points. But with the undefeated streak still intact, Coach Richter was named the MLS Next Pro Coach of the Month for June. It wasn’t the easiest month for Ryan and his team with many games being played without a lot of players available due to international youth games being played.

Union II currently find themselves on a streak of 5 games unbeaten and sit in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference standings, just 6 points off leaders NYRB II and Union II has 2 games in hand over their rivals. A win on Sunday afternoon in this game against Orlando would move them within a single win from topping the standings and would still have a game in hand too.

Toronto FC II head into this game currently sat in 6th place in the Eastern Conference standings and they’ll be looking to end Union II’s unbeaten streak to not only gain ground on the Union side but to also pull away from the pack of teams below them chasing the playoff spot Toronto currently holds.

The visitors to Subaru Park are currently on a 4-game unbeaten streak of their own, following a 2-1 win over Union II’s opponents from last Monday night, Orlando City B. The game on Sunday afternoon will be the first time Union II and Toronto FC II have faced off in 2025, with the other two meetings between them taking place later in the season.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 3pm ET at Subaru Park on Sunday afternoon. Tickets are still available for purchase but if you can’t get down to the ground on Sunday, the game will be streamed live on Apple TV via an active MLS Season Pass subscription.
