The minor moves continue as the Philadelphia Eagles release practice squad wide receiver Quron Pratt according to Zach Berman. After spending all of last season on the Eagles practice squad, he has been waived in order to re-sign Stephen Morris per source.
There is now just one receiver left in the Eagles Practice squad and that man is Freddie Martino. But with such heavy competition in the final roster as it is, the team are hardly at a shortage on the position and obviously feel that adding another Quarterback is more beneficial.
Morris would still need to clear waivers and would likely sit in the practice squad behind newly signed 27 year old Thad Lewis who will register as the teams third Quarterback.
Pratt’s departure leaves one wide receiver left on Philadelphia’s practice squad: Freddie Martino. The Eagles do have six wide receivers on the team’s 53-man roster. The Eagles have been making plenty of practice squad moves as of late but have made little changes to their Offensive line other than releasing veteran guard Julian Vandervelde. Whether that changes, remains to be seen.
