Eagles could have huge advantage going into week one

The final week of Pre-Season is upon us and as the countdown to regular season Football begins, the predictions have been flying in and many see the Eagles beating Matt Ryan and his Falcons in the first edition of Monday Night Football this year. Those Predictions will continue to swarm in favour of the Eagles as it appears the Falcons are at a severe disadvantage..

Roddy White will miss the final pre-season game as he is recovering from an Elbow surgery, but joining him are eight yes EIGHT others.

RB      Antone Smith- Hamstring problem
CB     Desmond Trufant- Shoulder injury
LB     Brooks Reid- Groin
LT    Jake Matthews- Lower Back
TE    Tony Moeaki- Ankle
LB    Joplo Bartu- Quad
S      Robenson Therezie- undisclosed
WR  Devin Hester- Turf Toe

Devonta Freeman (DOUBTFUL) is expected to make a brief appearance after battling an injury this pre-season, but what does this mean for the Eagles? The Falcons are already struggling on depth and whilst a few of these players such as Trufant will be expected to play in the season opener, the sky is looking bleak for others. This Eagles Offense has been tearing apart Defenses all pre-season long, putting up over 30 points a game in their opening three fixtures. It looks more deadly than ever and if Bartu, Reid and potentially Trufant miss the game then the Falcons are going to face an uphill battle.

Not only that but with Kiko Alonso and the revamped linebacker core looking primed to rush the Quarterback more effectively than ever with the likes of Connor Barwin gearing up for war, the absence of guys like Jake Matthews and Bartu could spell disaster for Atlanta. The extent of these injuries for the most part remain unknown, but even if one carries into the season opener..it’s yet another advantage for the Eagles.
