It was announced earlier today that the Philadelphia Eagles have waived inside linebacker Emmanuel Acho. It had been reported that the 24 year old recently underwent surgery on his thumb.
Acho looked great in camp and was in the hunt to make a spot on the final roster as an inside linebacker, especially considering camp injuries.
The Eagles picked Acho up in the 2013 offseason in a trade that sent Dion Lewis to the Browns. In his tenure with the team, the linebacker made 20 appearances, picking up 22 tackles.
The Eagles are back down to 89 so expect another potential undrafted camp body to be announced within the coming days.
