The second week of the MLS season saw 28 of its 29 teams in action; only Atlanta had the week off as the odd team out. It’s only week two, but there’s already been crazy drama, five-goal blowouts, and a game played in a snowstorm. MLS is well and truly back, and before it heads to its third week, take a look back at all of the action that went down last week!

MLS Week Two Highlights

The second week of MLS had drama, blowouts, late goals, and a snowmageddon match! Unlike week one, there was just one goalless game, every other game had at least two goals scored. It’s still early in the 2024 MLS season, and teams are definitely trying to feel things out as they get into a rhythm. This is the case for the teams involved in the Concacaf Champions Cup as well, as those clubs are playing more than double the matches as other teams in MLS.

Let’s look back on all the action that occurred on week two, and look ahead to week three of MLS!

Minnesota 1 – 1 Colombus

Salt Lake 3 – 0 LAFC

Miami 5 – 0 Orlando

Vancouver 1 – 1 Charlotte

Chicago 1 – 2 Cincinnati

Dallas 1 – 2 Montreal

Houston 1 – 2 New York

Kansas City 1 – 1 Philadelphia

St. Louis 2 – 0 NYCFC

Colorado 1 – 1 Nashville

Portland 2 – 2 DC

San Jose 1 – 3 Los Angeles

Seattle 0 – 0 Austin

The loan MLS game on Sunday of the weekend was an Eastern Conference clash between the New England Revolution and Toronto FC. New England was coming off a tough loss at DC, while Toronto FC secured a draw against last year’s shield winners FC Cincinnati. It would be Toronto who would have the upper hand collecting four points from two road matches to start the season!

New England 0 – 1 Toronto

16 of the 29 teams in MLS have not lost through two weeks. Will we see any of them falter in week three? no team has been perfect on the season though; there have been points dropped by every team, making the standings all the more closer at the early stage of the season. Let’s see who can continue their good form, and if any teams can rise; catch all the matches on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV!
