Phillies betting guide 2024

To win the World Series +1500

There is every chance that the Phillies can ignite another Red October. Bryce Harper will be healthy to start the season, which should at least give the team an edge over what we saw last year. A lot has changed in the MLB landscape, but the Phillies are bringing back a core of players that has been good enough to make some playoff noise, in each of the last two seasons, including that incredible World Series berth back in 2022/3.

Win Total: Over/Under 90.5 +105

This is a pretty high total. Last year saw the Phillies hit the 90-win mark for the first time since 2011, building on their impressive 87-win campaign from the year before. Can they better that in 2024? There’s definitely a strong chance, but it’s a total they’ve only hit 14 times in their long history.

To make the playoffs: Yes -220 | No +185

Phillies to win:

The National League: +800
NL East +310

If you’re not as bullish on the Phils winning the World Series but fancy them to make a solid regular season effort, then these are the props for you.

NL MVP

Bryce Harper +1000
Trea Turner +2200
Kyle Schwarber +10000
Alec Bohm +12000
J.T Realmuto +12000
Brandon Marsh +20000

Bryce Harper is a two-time NL MVP winner, so backing him to complete a hat-trick at 10-1 isn’t a bad shout at all. He starts the season healthy and you could argue that his form was good enough to be in contention last year had he not been rehabbing an injury for the opening stanza.

It could be worth fluttering some money on Trea Turner, too, who caught fire when it mattered most for the Phillies last year after a long slump. If he can sustain momentum, who knows how high he can soar?

Cy Young

Zack Wheeler +800
Aaron Nola +2200
Ranger Suarez +10000
Taijuan Walker +20000

Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler absolutely should be locked in for your bets in this market. The Phillies haven’t had a winner since Roy Halladay back in 2010 but have two of the very best pitchers in the National League, both of whom have committed their futures to the City.

Nola finished 3rd in Cy Young voting back in 2018 and Wheeler has been in contention on multiple occasions. Is this finally the year the trend comes to an end?

Rookie Of The Year

Mick Abel +5000
Andrew Painter +5000

Home Run Totals

Bryce Harper Over/Under 30.5 -115
Kyle Schwarber Over/Under 39.5 -115
Trea Turner Over/Under 23.5 -115

Kyle Schwarber had 47 home runs last year and 46 in 2022. If there’s ever a line to love, it’s this one.

Trea Turner put up 26 and 21 over his last two years, but if he plays like he did towards the end of last season then this could also be a relatively easy banker.

MLB Leader props

Runs:
Bryce Harper +4000
Trea Turner +1000
Kyle Schwarber +3000

RBI’s

Bryce Harper Over/Under 97.5 -105
Kyle Schwarber Over/Under 96.5 -105

Kyle Schwarber had 104 RBI’s last year and 108 runs. The run leader in 2023 had 149, and the winning RBI total was 139. If you’re going to get in on this action, then backing the players to lead the league with a bonus bet makes sense. Much higher odds using money you didn’t deposit feels like the safest way to flirt with these props.

Hit totals

Trea Turner Over/Under 175.5 -110

Strikeout totals

Aaron Nola Over/Under 195.5 -110
Zack Wheeler Over/Under 188.5 -110

Pitcher win totals

Aaron Nola Over/Under 11.5 -110
Zack Wheeler Over/Under 13.5 -110

To lead the league in wins
Aaron Nola +2000
Zack Wheeler +1200

Spencer Strider led the MLB in wins last year with 20. Nola had 12 and Wheeler had 13. They’re going to need to bump to at least 17 if they’re to be in contention here, but stranger things have happened. If you believe the Phillies boast a more complete bullpen than last year, then this is a great way to cash in. The individual win props do feel very gettable for both.

30/30 club

Trea Turner to Record 30+ HRs and 30+ Stolen Bases in Regular Season: Yes +1000 | No -2500

In a similar fashion to the RBI prop, this could be worth backing with some bonus bet money or a low-cost Lotto ticket. It’s a longshot bet, but we all know what Turner is capable of. It also makes his breakouts that much more exciting knowing you have a big lotto ticket waiting to be cashed.
