MLB World Series Odds: The 2024 MLB season is nearly here. Spring Training is now on the horizon and the excitement of another season is ramping up. The Philadelphia Phillies will be looking to build on their previous campaign and return to the World Seires, but what does Vegas make of their chances?

Philadelphia Phillies+1500

MLB World Series Odds: Phillies odds sit at +1500 ahead of Spring Training

The Phillies were interestingly +1500 to win the World Series at the beginning of last year, which shows that despite a crazy offseason from the likes of the Los Angeles Dodgers, they’re still held in a playoff-level regard.

There is every chance that the team can ignite another Red October. Bryce Harper will be healthy come the start of the season, which should at least give the team an edge over what we saw last year. The Phillies were without the former NL MVP until May in 2023, and with some other slumps haunting them, it was tough for the Phillies to sustain momentum. That shouldn’t be an issue this season.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Phils have retained much of their strong core from a year ago including an all-star batting lineup that features the likes of Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner, while having also penned Aaron Nola to a new contract. The team is just as strong, if not a little stronger than it was at this point in 2023, and the odds reflect that.

If you haven’t bet on the Phillies to win the World Series just yet, now might be a good time. A hot start to the season could see these odds slashed, so locking in a fairly friendly price early is always a good idea. You can always sprinkle more throughout the season too if the price does go the other way. But if you’re bullish on another Red October, there’s no better time than right now.
