Christian McCaffrey over 92.5 rushing yards
Green Bay’s defense ranks a measly 23rd this season – 14th against the pass and a horrifying 28th against the run. The alarm bells have to be ringing knowing that they’re going into the den of Christian McCaffrey.
CMC has 1,459 rushing yards this year alone. That obviously led the league. The man in second, Derrick Henry was behind by 292 yards…
It’s hard to imagine Green Bay being able to muster much of an effort to quieten Christian McCaffrey, who should comfortably sail over the 100-yard mark on Saturday.
Christian Watson over 29.5 receiving yards
The Packers decimated the Cowboys just one week ago, but where, oh where was Christian Watson?
Well, he was lucky to be playing having been questionable in the week prior. The Packers wideout played for the first time since week 13, garnering 23 snaps. However, it’s obvious that over the last few weeks, Jordan Love found solace in Romeo Doubs while Watson was out.
He should be back to 100% here and is likely going to get an expanded role in comparison to last week. The Packers need all hands on deck and Watson gives the Packers a soft pair of hands. It would only take one or two catches for him to push over this mark, and that feels like a safe bet.
Jordan Love under 249.5 yards
The Niners’ defense is absolutely dominant and is bound to throw everything they have at a young quarterback experiencing his first postseason. On top of that, the Packers have a brilliant rushing attack, with Aaron Jones having now put up 100+ yards in 4 consecutive weeks.
Jordan Love is going to need the game of his life to beat San Francisco, but he also needs to be smart and avoid forcing the ball into vulnerable positions. I think he takes a tamer approach and focuses on shorter completions while riding the run-game, which should keep this total below 250.
Brock Purdy under 30 completions
Brock Purdy has been great this year, but not without his rough patches. He has notoriously gone from 0-100 when it comes to committing turnovers, and the Packers also know that they have a poor run defense. The best thing they could possibly do is force Purdy off his perch by starting out hot and taking an early lead, pushing the Niners QB to throw and taking away the rushing threat (somewhat).
As a result, I feel Purdy will either be sporadic slinging the rock with a few incompletions, or, ride the run-game against a weak unit so that he doesn’t need to throw 30+ times to win.
