Jalen Carter is now +100 favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year award
The Philadelphia Eagles hit a home run in the first round of the NFL Draft. Jalen Carter slipped into the grasp of Howie Roseman’s clutches and the Eagles GM didn’t hesitate on pulling the trigger. That move is already paying large dividends, with Carter now the leading favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year after just 3 games.

While Jalen Carter’s stock continued to drop due to his involvement in a car crash that killed a former Georgia teammate and recruiting analyst, Philadelphia had all the resources around them to get a true gauge on the young man’s character. Howie Roseman decided to take a shot on a man who many deemed as the top DT prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft and that decision is already paying huge dividends.
Through 3 weeks, Jalen Carter has 1.5 sacks to his name along with 2 forced fumbles, both of which came against the Bucs. He also has 2 TFL, 2 QB hits and is 2nd among ALL NFL defensive tackles in QB pressures with 15.
Carter has been a one-man wrecking crew during his short time in Philadelphia, bursting into the backfield on a regular basis and making splash plays seem normal. He’s already playing like a top-tier defensive tackle, and that’s a scary realization for the rest of the NFL.
Jalen Carter started the season at +800 to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. He’s now just +100, which is a HUGE swing in just 3 weeks of action.

A $50 bet now on Jalen Carter to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year MVP would net you a $100 return. If he continues to play as well as he is, that number could drop even further. If you’re looking to bet on the Eagles defensive tackle, now might be a good time.
