Rachaad White UNDER 54.5 rushing yards -155
Rachaad White is an average running back playing behind an offensive line that had a weak link at guard in Matt Feiler. His PFF grade of 59.5 should say all you need to know so far and his 2022 seasons as hardly great. Cody Mauch, the stunning rookie guard playing on the opposite side of Ryan Jensen, is injured.
That leaves some real weaknesses in the heart of that offensive line and ones that the likes of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis will be salivating over all weekend.
White may have had 73 yards against the Bears, but I think he’ll struggle against one of the best run defenses in the NFL.
Jalen Hurts to throw OVER 275 yards +205
This just feels like a Jalen Hurts game. The Eagles quarterback hasn’t exactly been at his best over the last two weeks and is yet to eclipse the 200-yard mark. The Bucs run defense is a vaunted one but the secondary could well be wobbling with Carlton Davis less than 100%.
Hurts has always been a quarterback who wants to prove people wrong and he’ll have a chance to do that under the primetime lights. He hears the noise and while he rises above it, has been known to silence his critics swiftly. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an all-out assault on Monday night and this prop offers some serious value if that happens.
A.J Brown OVER 74.5 receiving yards +110
Correlating with the above pick, we all saw the heated discussion between Hurts and Brown last week. The two insist it was nothing more than being highly competitive, and that’s probably the case. However, whenever we see a scenario like DeVonta Smith flatlining one week, Hurts makes a point of ensuring he gets his share the next game.
A.J Brown had 79 yards in the season-opener but only 29 in week 2. Perhaps betting on receptions would be more profitable, but I think there’s some real upside on a dominant day through the air for the former Titans wideout.
Dallas Goedert anytime TD +235
T.J Hockenson and the Vikings punished the Bucs to the tune of 67 TE yards, while the Bears targeted TE’s 8 times in their narrow defeat. There is clearly something for the Eagles to try and take advantage of here, and Dallas Goedert has had some tough sledding to start the year.
It’s been an uncharacteristically slow opening stanza for the SDSU product, but Goedert has had plenty of opportunities to change that, and likely will against the Bucs – especially if Jalen Hurts decides that he does indeed want to throw for 300+ to shut everyone up.
He’s yet to find the endzone, but I like his chances of doing so here.
