Lions vs Chiefs: The NFL regular season is finally upon us. Kansas City will look to kick off its Super Bowl crown defense tour with a win over the Detroit Lions on Thursday night and with it being the first game of the year, the betting action is set to be explosive.

There are plenty of lenses to view this ga,e through from a betting perspective, but building a Parlay is where the fun really lies. This +1600 Same Game Parlay looks like great value going into the Lions vs Chiefs game.

Isaiah Pacheco: Over 51.5 rushing yards

This total started at 49.5 and has already jumped up following the news that Travis Kelce might not suit up, but I’d be all over this regardless.

Pacheco’s rookie campaign was a tale of two halves. When things got rolling, it was hard to stop him. He ended the year with close to 900 rushing yards, but 633 of them came across his final 9 games. He also recorded 197 rushing yards across 3 games in the postseason.

Averaging 4.88 yards per carry during the regular season, Pacheco figures to be a focal point of this offense moving forward. The Lions defense has made some big strides this offseason, but it was still atrocious in 2022 even in spite of a late resurgence.

There’s a strong chance we see a healthy dose of Isaiah Pacheco on Thursday night and that should mean he comfortably gets over this number.

Jahmyr Gibbs: Over 38.5 rushing yards

No Chris Jones for Kansas City should open up some windows for the rookie running back to get going. There’s two ways of looking at this:

1: Detroit will want to play keepaway from Patrick Mahomes and the offense which means plenty of rushing attempts.

2: Jahmyr Gibbs has to be a focal point in order to Jared Goff to be able to open up the passing game somewhat reliably.

Whatever the motive, this total is about 12 yards too low for my liking for Lions vs Chiefs..

Patrick Mahomes over 2.5 passing touchdowns

You know how many times Patrick Mahomes has thrown 3+ touchdowns in his career? 36. 8 of those came in 2022.

Mahomes also has a habit of lighting it up in regular season openers. This Detroit defense is going to face an almighty task in keeping the reigning MVP quiet and I feel like this new-look unit could be in for a rude awakening. 3 touchdown passes should come easy for Mahomes.

Jared Goff over 0.5 interceptions in Lions vs Chiefs

He only threw 7 picks last year, but he’s thrown 70 since he’s entered the league and has thrown at LEAST 7 every single season. The Chiefs aren’t exactly stacked in the secondary, but Goff is going to have to be aggressive if he wants to win this game and that should result in some errant passes.
