Lorenzen has struck out 5+ batters in 3 of his last 5 starts, which could give us some upside against a streaky Nats offense.

The Nationals will be sending out MacKenzie Gore to combat Lorenzen. The lefty went 6 innings in his most recent start, giving up just 2 runs in 6 innings to the Brewers. The month of July was an interesting one for Gore, who had two shutouts to his name and a pair of games where he allowed 5+ runs. This could spell trouble against a Phillies offense who have rattled the Nats for 12 runs during the two games they’ve played this week.
