It looks like the Eagles won’t have to wait much longer to find out when they’ll be able to get their rematch against the Chiefs. According to Donna Kelce, the mother of both Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and Eagles OL Jason Kelce, the Eagles and Chiefs are set to face off in week 2 of the 2023 season.
In a Facebook post where she was going over the potential matchup between the Bears and the Chiefs in Germany. Donna responded to another user’s comments about the Eagles and Chiefs facing off in one of the games overseas. Donna’s comment as straight to the post as she said “Chiefs play Eagles week 2 in Arrowhead”.
Eagles vs Chiefs: The rematch of the decade
After an incredible Super Bowl game in February which ended in less than spectacular fashion due to a holding call on the final drive. The Eagles will look to prove a point early on in the season as Hurts gets another shot at showing that last season was no fluke.
Super Bowl LVII was the most watched US telecast of all-time as two of the top QBs in the NFL went toe to toe until the very end. The Eagles have since revamped their entire defense by adding players like Terrell Edmunds, Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, and several others.
Offensively, the team has added more firepower as they signed RB Rashaad Penny and traded for RB D’Andre Swift to help replace the void left by former Eagles RB Miles Sanders.
It will be a spectacular rematch that could either way in the early parts of a long season. Now the question remains whether this will be a Sunday Night game or just a regular day game. For more information on that be sure to check in with us on Thursday when the NFL officially releases the new schedule for the 2023 season.
