The Eagles are continuing their search for a new defensive coordinator. As reported by Ian Rapoport on Monday morning, the Eagles are bringing Sean Desai back in for another interview. While the list of candidates has been growing as of late, we have yet to hear about a clear favorite.

Although, Desai seems to be the only candidate with a reported second interview since Vance Joseph. Vance Joseph was an interesting candidate as he was the only one who was a true veteran and was way above the average age of the coaching staff and even the other reported candidates.

Eagles may have a new lead candidate for DC in Sean Desai

With the combine around the corner, it may be wise for the Eagles to make a move on one of their few candidates. It was reported last week that the Eagles and Jim Leonhard would not be moving forward with each other due to an off-season hip surgery that would have the DC candidate sidelined on top of him wanting to take a year off.

Sean Desai is an interesting candidate. With the players that are in place and a scheme that was somewhat successful for the Eagles last season, it looks like they want to keep that consistency.

Desai is a disciple of Vic Fangio which means that the system in place would give him and head start if he is hired. The Eagles have a long list of action items that must be done before free agency kicks off so stay tuned for more Eagles news.
