Purdy enters this evening with a questionable designation. He’s banged up, and that’s all the more reason to lean on the u/ and rushing props.
All flights to Seattle have been grounded.
With a rookie quarterback, on a short week, without Deebo Samuel, in Seattle, against the 2nd worst rushing defense in the NFL… run the ball, San Francisco.
And although Seattle’s rush defense’s raw numbers look rough, they’re still ranked 16th in efficiency, according to PFF. So while every article you read will tell you the 49ers will run for 200 yards, it might not be that simple, and it’s all up to one man.
Now, safety Ryan Neal, Seattle’s highest-graded player in run support (78.6), is currently listed as questionable to play with a knee injury. If you have the patience to wait for his final designation, I’d add another 50 rushing yards to the San Franciso rushing totals.
Without Neal, while the rushing attack of San Fran could have a field day, another opportunity could be unlocked for this San Franciso offense in the passing game.
I’m staying modest with it, but all signs indicate a dual George Kittle–Christian McCaffery air raid. Kittle missed their earlier matchup & McCaffery was, of course, in Carolina, so it’ll be the first time this Seattle defense has to plan for the pair.
