Belgium vs Morocco

Belgium were slow out of the gate against Canada but were still able to claw their way to victory, while Morocco squeezed out a draw against Croatia. Can they do the same against a much tougher Belgian side?

Belgium vs Morocco betting preview

Belgium were able to pull 3 points out of the bag in their opener, even if it looked unlikely at times. They’ll be hoping that their all-time leading goalscorer, Romelu Lukaku, will be available for the game, but even if he isn’t, Michy Batshuayi was the man who bagged that crucial goal in game one.

Kevin De Bruyne had an uncharacteristically quiet game and while it was disappointing, Morocco probably won’t be the side to demand his very best. With that said, with threats like Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri, the same can’t be said for a Belgium defense that allowed a whopping 22 shots to Canada. Only 3 of those were on target, but even a remotely more clinical performance in front of goal could make all the difference.

Belgium vs Morocco betting pick

Realistically, Belgium have more than enough star-power to get past Morocco here. But Belgium’s problem has long been their wasting of a golden era of talent and the trend hardly looks to be changing here. I’ll be backing the ‘Both Teams To Score’ selection knowing that Morocco will be scrapping to continue exceeding expectations.
