According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, the Philadelphia 76ers have been discussing potential trades including forward Tobias Harris. Charania mentions that Harris’ name has been in conversations with other clubs as the December 15th date looms, which is the date that players who signed contracts in the offseason are eligible to be traded.

Tobias Harris dangled in trade discussions

It seems like Tobias Harris’ name has been in trade rumors for the last few seasons. His name was linked to potential trades regarding Ben Simmons up until Simmons was traded for James Harden at last season’s trade deadline.

Harris isn’t the optimal fit on a team built around James Harden and Joel Embiid but he has been able to adapt on the fly. Harris’ role on the Sixers has changed just about every season he has been with the club and his most recent role change included him buying into a 3 and D role. With Harden’s recent injury, he has gone back to taking on more of the scoring load using the mid-post.

As December 15th approaches, we will see if trade rumors involving Harris and the Sixers heat up.
