The Mexico Open kicks off tomorrow at Vidanta Vallarta and due to the fact that the PGA Tour will be making its debut there, there’s plenty of value to be found in the betting markets. Here are four names I really like ahead of the event.

So far, I’m 2/2 on Golf betting picks. Matt Kuchar placed inside the top-5 at the RBC Heritage, and Will Zalatoris/Davis Riley flew through the field on Sunday to place in the top-5 and cash us another bet. Can we make it three in a row?

Brice Garnett

To win: +25000
Top-5: +3500
Top-10: +1600

This is purely a value play based on form at similar courses to this. Garnett placed 7th at the Puerto Rico Open earlier this year and 5th there in 2020. He also has a strong record at Puntacana and has gained at least 5 strokes in 5 of his 9 events at these similar courses, including a win at Puntacana in 2018.

Patrick Flavin

To win: +20000
Top-5: +2500
Top-10: +1200

Flavin is a dreamy pick at these prices. He came 6th at the Puerto Rico open and 17th at Bermuda last year. He gained 6 strokes at the former, and 7 at the latter. While he’s not a household name, the 26-year-old clearly has some form around these courses and with limited PGA experience, is going to be a real under-the-radar play.

Wydnham Clark

To win: +9000
Top-5: +1600
Top-10: +750

It’s hard not to love Wydnham Clark here. A 22nd, a 2nd place, and a top-10 in the three corresponding events he’s played in, he ranks 3rd in the field in driving distance which is going to be huge around here, and ranks 25th in three-putt avoidance. On a course with slower greens and wide fairways, he could play himself into contention.

Tyler Duncan

To win: +15000
Top-5: +2200
Top-10: +1000

I’ve been bullish on Duncan for 2 weeks now and his brilliant Sunday at the RBC Heritage still stands out. He’s been really hot recently, rallying to three top-25’s in his last eight events. He ranks 9th in approach putting and inside the top-30 on approaches from 175-125. On a longer course, that’s important.
