COULD 2022 GET ANY BETTER?!

For those discovering this article and wondering why there’s such a euphoric tone, let me take you back on a little journey.

Clayton Thorson was drafted out of Northwestern back in 2019 by the Philadelphia Eagles. His time on the team was short-lived as he struggled to do quite literally anything. But there was something about this young man that captivated me. Maybe it was knowing that the ceiling was always limited, perhaps it was the idea of him somehow becoming a diamond in the rough. But the legend of the ‘Clayton Thorson song’ was born.

For those unfamiliar, here you go:

The song was played whenever Thorson did anything during the preseason during our watchalong streams and soon became something that united our readers and myself together. Our cult hero, King Clayton. The ultimate underdog.

Unfortunately, his time in Philadelphia lasted as long as my last relationship and he then spent times with both the Giants and Cowboys.

But tonight is a momentous occasion.

Yes, Philadelphia has a team. But they made a terrible mistake in not making a move for the greatest quarterback the game of Football has ever seen. I am now a Houston Gamblers fan, and all my chips are on Clayton Thorson.
