Phillies podcast: The “Bullpen Blues” discusses the latest Phillies news

The MLB offseason is officially underway, and the Philadelphia Phillies are already trying their hardest to make everyone absolutely miserable. The latest news, reports, and rumors:

  • No qualifying offer for Didi Gregorius: Despite his stellar play in 2020, shortstop Didi Gregorius was not offered a qualifying offer for the 2021 season. Barring an unforeseen multi-year extension via free agency, this effectively means Didi’s time with the Phillies has come to an end, and the team will get nothing back in return.
  • JT Realmuto wants to stay in Philly: According to a handful of rumors and reports, JT Realmuto wants to remain a Phillie and is lukewarm about playing in New York. That’s obviously really good news!
  • Andy MacPhail continues to be the worst: Current Phillies President of Baseball Operations Andy MacPhail conducted a press conference over the weekend. It was just absolutely brutal.

David Esser and Kevin Dickson of the Bullpen Blues podcast discussed all of the above mentioned topics and more in detail on their latest episode. Make sure to give it a listen below:
