Elton Brand has finally made his move folks. At precisely 12:40 AM on Thursday, the Sixers finalized a trade that will see both Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III of the Warriors headed to Philly.

Burks is currently riding the best season of his career. He’s averaging 16.1 points per game while shooting 37.5% from beyond the arc. A natural shooting guard, Burks provides some much-needed shooting and guard play to a big man heavy roster.

Burks is also averaging just over 4.5 threes attempted per game. The Sixers were desperate for someone with a quick trigger like that.

Glenn Robinson III is also riding a career year at the moment. He’s averaging 12.9 ppg on 40.0% from three. A small forward/shooting guard combo type player, Robinson adds even more shooting for the Sixers to work with. He can very realistically replace a guy like James Ennis in the rotation.

This duo played on the Warriors, so it’s reasonable to assume their stats are inflated to a degree. Getting them to both actively contribute in a lesser role with the Sixers will be crucial.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers will be sending over three second-round picks to Golden State in return.

Overall, this is a fantastic move for Philadelphia. Adds some much needed shooting at a cheap price.
