Defensive line

Vinny Curry had himself a day, registering his third two-sack outing as an Eagle, but they would be the only sacks of the night for Philly. Derek Barnett may have been down, but even so, this is a Giants offense that allowed 34 coming into tonight’s game and had a statue at QB.

They did help contain Saquon Barkley which is more than what can be said about games past, but it wasn’t really an outing worth writing home about.

Grade: C-

Linebacker

Nate Gerry actually played really well and made a couple of big-time pass breakups, and we even started to see some action from Duke Riley.

Nigel Bradham seemed back to his old ways and for the most part, this was about as solid as one could ask…so long as we forget about how hard the entire group still presses down on PA looks and bites on the run.

Grade: C

Cornerback

I’m really not Ronald Darby’s biggest fan and last night did nothing to change my mind. Maddox and Mills made some nice plays, but what an effort by Sidney Jones when the Eagles really needed an adrenaline injection.

Jones should be excused from the criticism here, but Darius Slayton caught 154 yards of passing and 2 touchdowns in the first half. Davante Parker EP 2 only this time it’s not Davante Parker. Not good enough.

Grade: D

Safety

Jenkins and McLeod were about as sound as one could ask, all things considered. They were quiet, under the radar, and sometimes, that’s for the best.

Grade: C

Special teams

Jake Elliott missed a field goal but Cameron Johnston’s iron leg is waterproof.
