Game recap: Penn takes down Brown to make Ivy League Tournament

Philadelphia: Win and you’re in and that is what was on the line on Saturday night at the Palestra on the campus of University of Penn as the Penn Quakers took on the Brown Bears for the final spot in the 2019 Ivy League Tournament. Penn comes into game off a win over Yale while Brown heads to battle with the Quakers off a win over Princeton.

In the first half, defense would be the story as both Penn & Brown would make things challenging, at one point, Penn would have a 5 point lead at 24-19 with 5:47 left, the Bears would go on a run and the game would be tied at 27 at halftime.

In the second Half, Penn would come out and make things difficult for the Bears as they would get the lead up to 10 at 54-44 with 8:34 left. Brown would go on a run late to make things interesting but they would run out of time.

Time to Celebrate as a crowd of 4,033 would see the Penn Quakers take down Brown 58-51 to make the Ivy League Tournament

Penn will now head to the Ivy League Tournament next week in New Haven as the number 4 seed.
