Game recap: Kevin Crowley & Matt Rambo Hat tricks lead Wings to victory over New England

Philadelphia: During any season, a team will have its ups and downs and that is what the Philadelphia Wings will look to get back to their winning ways as they took on the New England Black Wolves from the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia on Saturday night. The Wings enter the game off a very bad loss to Colorado on February 9 while the Black Wolves head into battle with the Wings off a win over Rochester also on February 9.

Wings Lineup:

The Wings would jump out on New England by scoring the games first 2 goals by Matt Rambo & Jordan Hall before the Black Wolves got on the board. Kevin Crowley & Vaughn Harris would add to the Wings lead as they took a 4-1 lead at end of 1st quarter.

The Wings would take an 8-6 lead into halftime. Kevin Crowley would score Hat Trick in the first half

The Hat Trick Goal by Crowley which made it 7-4

In the 3rd quarter, we would see the 2nd hat trick of the game, this one came from the Philadelphia Wings Matt Rambo which made it 10-7.

New England would cut the Wings lead to 10-9 early in the 4th and the Wings would respond with 4 straight goals for a 14-9 lead. Wings goalie Doug Buchan made some big saves as he finished with 42 saves. A crowd of 10, 614 would see the Wings hold on for the 14-10 win.

The Wings would celebrate the win with the fans

 

This was a game that the Wings needed to keep their push to make the playoffs and also start of a new rivalry between the Wings & Black Wolves.

The Wings will go for the weekend sweep as they play this same New England Black Wolves tomorrow at the Mohegan Sun Arena at 3 PM on PHL 17 & Bleacher Report Live.
