LJ: How did it feel to get the Penn state offer? How long have they been recruiting you?

Chuck: It caught me by surprise because I never had contact with them prior to the offer. But they have been recruiting me for about a year now.

LJ: Who from the Penn state staff is recruited you?

Chuck: Coach Chambers has been the one that has really been talking to me.

LJ: Do you consider Penn state a school of high interest to you?

Chuck: Yes they definitely are on the top of my list

LJ: Do you plan to visit? When?

Chuck: Yes I do and whenever I can get down there

LJ: You played with current Penn state basketball player Myles Dread. How close are you two. Is he trying to recruit you to Penn state?

Chuck: Me and Myles were pretty tight we both played vital roles on the team last year me being the point guard and him being the veteran senior. We bumped heads at times but we both came together when we had to. Yeah he has reached out talking about the things Penn State has to offer.

LJ: Are there any other players on that team you are cool with?

Chuck: No I don’t really know anybody else on the team.

LJ: What visits have you went on that you have been impressed with?

Chuck: I haven’t gone any visits yet

LJ: What were the stats of your best AAU game so far?

Chuck: 22 pts, 8 rebs, 6 asts.

LJ: Explain the competition and what it’s like to compete in DC high school ball?

Chuck: The DMV is the best basketball in the country so you really find out what level of a player you are around here.

LJ: What makes you such an impact point guard?

Chuck: I think what makes me good is my ability to make everyone around me better. I like to get everyone involved in the game and I am always boosting my teammates up. So I think that’s what makes me such a good point guard.

LJ: What do you like the most about Penn state basketball?

Chuck: I like the way they play. Coach wants players to make plays and do what they can do to impact the team. On the defensive end he makes sure everyone is locked in.

LJ: Are you close to a decision this early in your recruitment? When do you think you will commit?

Chuck: No I am not close to a decision and do not know when I will commit
