The Birds are fully healthy for the most part, with the lone questionable player being Dannell Ellerbe, who has struggled for two weeks with a hamstring injury. Ellerbe has become a key cog in the Eagles run defense machine in recent weeks, emerging as the starting middle linebacker in place of Jordan Hicks. It’s worth noting that he did practice today although it was in a limited capacity.

The good news is that Kamu Grugier-Hill was a full participant, so even if Ellerbe is sidelined, the Eagles have some depth to fall on. The Eagles special teams ace who leads the team in ST tackles is certainly an important role player and could be in line for some playoff action should Ellerbe be unable to play.

Elsewhere, Sidney Jones was a full participant in each of the last three days, meaning that he is ready to go for Sunday. It’s unclear how much action Jones will see, or if he will be a healthy scratch, but it gives the Eagles some optionality on the back end against a Minnesota offense that could test it frequently.

VIKINGS:

The big news out of Minnesota is that undrafted sensation, Adam Theilen, is questionable due to a back injury. The 1,350 yard receiver who has won the hearts of just about everybody this season and caught 6 passes for 74 yards against rookie stud Marshon Lattimore just one week ago.

DT Shamar Stephen has been ruled OUT for the showdown in Philadelphia.

Elsewhere, the secondary could be stinging for the Vikings. Safety Andrew Sendejo is still in concussion protocol. Mike Zimmer is optimistic of his return for Sunday, but if he’s unable to play it will be a big loss for the Vikings. With 80 tackles this season, he has been a reliable hard-hitter in the secondary, making big plays when it counts. To make life more difficult, cornerback Mackensie Alexander was limited throughout the week and is listed as questionable. The sophomore cornerback has been more of a special teams performer this season, but has seen some time in the nickel and has a total of 17 tackles and 1 interception.
