The Eagles have posted their first injury report of the week ahead of Monday Night’s showdown with the Chicago Bears. There’s some relieving news for Eagles fans..as well as clarification on what we already knew.
Thursday Injury Report:
DNP- RB Barner (not injury related), TE Ertz (rib), CB McKelvin (hamstring)
Full- TE Burton (calf), WR Treggs (knee)— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) September 15, 2016
Zach Ertz and Leodis McKelvin were both absent today with the injuries picked up during the Eagles victory over the Cleveland Browns. The pair are said to be week-to-week.
Kenjon Barner didn’t practice today, but as reported it was due to a non injury related issue. This should mean that Barner will be ready to go come Monday Night.
Tight end Trey Burton has recovered from his calf muscle just in time. With Zach Ertz out of action, the Eagles will turn to the versatile tight end in an attempt to maintain their deep and dynamic passing attack. Burton had a stunning offseason and could be set to replicate that form against the Bears on Monday.
Bryce Treggs put on his pads for the first time as a Philadelphia Eagle today. The rapid receiver is slated to make his debut after going undrafted and being waived by the San Francisco 49ers, eventually landing in a very young receiving corps as an Eagle.
