The Eagles have waived Defensive tackle Derrick Lott today, less than two months after signing him.

Lott was signed by the Eagles after the team waived Ryan Quigley back in May. The 6’4, 314 pound pass rusher went undrafted after a senior season with Chattanooga that saw him rank sixth in the SoCon in sacks and third in TFL’s with 13.

Lott was signed by the Titans as an undrafted rookie free agent at age 25 in 2015 and impressed at the combine. He landed a practice squad spot with the Buccaneers and went on to workout with the Giants before being signed by the Eagles, but the athletic pass-rusher now finds himself searching for a new NFL team yet again.

More importantly for the Eagles however, they have been able to clear a roster spot. It’s going to be a hectic month and a half as the team finalize their 53-man roster and the birds are wasting no time getting started..but that’s not to say they won’t give another player a shot during training camp with the now vacant spot.
