It’s a sad day for Football as former fullback Kevin Turner passed away following a battle with ALS. Turner was diagnosed in 2010 and has since been raising money for those suffering from sports-related brain injuries and awareness of such illnesses through the Kevin Turner Foundation.
Turner played for the Eagles between 1995-1999, starting 46 of the 58 games he played in. He also caught 4 touchdown passes and had a total of 1,412 yards.
During those five years, he played alongside newly hired Head Coach Doug Pederson and also featured alongside Donovan McNabb in his rookie season. McNabb expressed his condolences on Twitter earlier today.
Prayers and blessing go out to a former teammate of mine Kevin Turner, unfortunately he passed away. Great mentor and friend. KT we miss you

Ike Reese also payed his respects through social media.

Turner also played a part in the suing of the NFL to get compensation for those who suffered from brain related injuries during their playing careers.
