DeMarco Murray “Not happy in Philadelphia”, heading for stare-down with Eagles according to NFL Insider

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport just went live on NFL Network to talk about the somewhat murky future of Eagles running back DeMarco Murray. From what we had heard previously, Murray wanted to be a part of the organization and with a new coaching unit in place, the grass certainly seemed greener on the other side…but that may not be the case.

Rapoport opened by saying

“coaching situation improved life for demarco murray, I’m told that is not necessarily the case..in fact he still has doubts about his role and his future in Philadelphia regardless of who the head coach is.”

The phrase “not happy in Philadelphia” continued to pop up.

“It would cost the Eagles $13m to cut Murray, something the Eagles do not want to do.”

“In Philadelphia, he simply does not feel comfortable as part of this organization”

“Seahawks, Cowboys, Raiders” all looking for running backs. “He would have a market..it’s just a case of the money that needs to be worked out.”

It would appear as though there is definitely tension between the two parties that many were not previously aware of. However after a year of low production, it’s easy to see why. Murray, who was the NFL’s rushing leader in 2014 ended this season with just 702 yards and 6 touchdowns and his carries were almost half of what he had in that emphatic campaign the year before.

Very interestingly though, Murray has just appeared on ESPN and said the following..
