Lane Johnson signs 6-year contract extension with Eagles

After both Zach Ertz and Brent Celek were tied down earlier this week, the Eagles have now agreed to terms with 25 year old Lane Johnson. The deal will see him stay in Philadelphia through the 2021 season and is worth $63 million. $35,5 million is guaranteed.

Johnson has played in 44 games since being drafted by the Eagles in 2013 and has only missed 4 games in that time, none down to injury. Johnson is the heir to the throne at Left Tackle once Jason Peters ends his reign.

It was clear that Johnson was towards the top of the Eagles hit list. Doug Pederson claimed he wanted Johnson to return next season and he was among the three young guys who the Eagles were looking to extend this off-season..with the final one being Vinny Curry
