Three Eagles players voted to play in Pro Bowl

The voting has finished and the Pro Bowl teams have been announced. It’s a good day to be an Eagles fan as three players have been nominated to play in the game on January 31st.

Defensive end Fletcher Cox is the only Defensive player to be selected and will head to Hawaii following 7.5 sacks this season..his career best. Not to mention his 56 tackles and three forced fumbles. Cox has been dominant this season and deserved to go perhaps more than anyone.

This will be Fletcher’s first ever Pro Bowl..and it’s about time too!

Running back Darren Sproles is set to make his second consecutive Pro-Bowl after some brilliant punt returns including two for touchdowns against the Patriots and Jets.

Jason Peters is the final player from the birds selected, making his Peters  Pro Bowl appearance. This should come as no surprise after another stellar season from the 33 year old.

Cox and Sproles were touted by many as favourites from the team but surprisingly missing were both Malcolm Jenkins and Cedric Thornton. Either way it’s great to see the Eagles represented in the Pro Bowl and we can’t wait to see how they play!
