Three defensive starters miss Eagles practice

The preparation for this weekends divisional battle against the Washington Redskins has already started for the Philadelphia Eagles..for most that is.

The Eagles were without three key defensive names in practice today as well as a wide receiver.

Seyi Ajirotutu was the wideout missing from todays activities following an early exit from the Eagles’ loss to the Cardinals with an ankle injury. According to reports there were no signs of crutches or a boot being worn so it doesn’t appear to be broken which is a positive sign.

Defensively though, things begin to get messy. Both Byron Maxwell (shoulder injury)  and Eric Rowe (Concussion) were missing from todays action. If both were to be absent from the game this weekend it would see Jaylen Watkins, EJ Biggers and Denzel Rice all assumingly take the snaps instead.

The big surprise however was Bennie Logan. The Eagles nose tackle has been on the injury report for the last two weeks or so and left the game on the final drive for undisclosed reasons..this appears to be the continuation of a persistent issue.

Hopefully the scenario improves for the Eagles throughout the week. If it doesn’t their most important game will have a dark cloud looming over it before we even reach kickoff.
