Eagles work out top CFL WR prospect

There’s been a lot of hype around a certain wide receiver coming out of the CFL.  Calgary Stampeders prospect Eric Rogers has been working out with NFL teams all week and the latest of whom is none other than the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now this is never a bad sign, the Eagles have worked out various free agents this season but this is the first from the CFL. Not only that but at 6″4 he would be an absolute terror for any corner to contain..at CFL level at least. The Eagles receiving core has struggled hugely this season and after replacing Miles Austin with Jonathan Krause, another new face won’t hurt at all.

Rogers is coming off of a huge year. He ended the season with 10 touchdowns, 1,448 yards and 87 receptions. Tying for the league lead in touchdowns is always a good way to end the season.

The only worry is that he has worked out with 14 teams including the Pats and the Niners. So that’s about 3/4 of the NFL who he’s practiced with making him quite the hot commodity.  This also means that surely a few teams have him on their radar so he may be a bit trickier to sign than anticipated.

But if you want to see 20 minutes of footage from Rogers’ career so far then you’re in luck!
