In an official statement from the team, it was confirmed that rookie Jahlil Okafor has been suspended for two games. The suspension starts immediately in wake of the recent videos and events that have transpired concerning the nineteen year old.

“Jahlil is a very important part of our organization and our future. While we are disappointed with his recent actions, e have faith in him as a valued member of the Sixers. We will provide the necessary resources to support him on his journey and will do our part to help him succeed both on and off the court”.
The suspension seemed imminent after the first fight video was released by TMZ and Brett Brown addressed the situation earlier today claiming that losing has an effect on the young star.
Okafor will next be eligible to play in an NBA game on Tuesday December 8th when the Sixers face the Spurs. This is a huge loss to the team and one that is going to cast a very large cloud over the win the team achieved last night.
