Today the Eagles released their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Washington Redskins.
As expected, the major headline is that Kiko Alonso has been rehabbing his knee with Dr. James Andrews IN Florida and after reportedly having arthroscopic surgery, the conclusion was that his ACL was indeed intact and he will play again this season. It’s speculated Kiko could return to the field in around a months time.
There were only two other players who didn’t practice today, meaning that Taylor Hart, Josh Huff, DeMarco Murray and linebacker Mychal Kendricks were all back in action. Whilst Murray was limited in Wednesday’s action, Chip Kelly has predicted he will be active this Sunday. Chip Kelly hinted at some linebacker rotation this weekend with Kendricks still not at 100%, giving rookie Jordan Hicks yet another platform to shine.
The two who didn’t practice however were receiver Riley Cooper and special teams ace Chris Maragos. With Maragos not yet listed as inactive for Sunday, the Safety is hopeful of a start..but with Eric Rowe playing so well against the Jets, you may see the corner rotate to his natural position a few times.
Cooper meanwhile sustained an injury against the Jets and has been inactive in every practice this week yet is expected to play in week four.
